Parliament Lawns, Hobart

Download a Full Program

Against Animal Cruelty Tasmania brings to you the event that is about all things animal. Join in a celebration of the lives of all non-human (and human) animals, learn something new, get inspired to do something positive, and just have fun.

We will be featuring some fabulous live music from talented animal-friendly performers including The Blue Mosquitoes, Yyan and McDougall, Greentease, Shannon Hooper, and Cows With Guns.

Between the music we will have informative talks about issues that affect non-human animals with whom we share the world. Listen and be inspired to make changes to your lifestyle that will benefit other creatures in some way. Learn how you can get more active and more involved in helping non-human animals every day. We will present some inspirational words from local animal protection identities including Cassy O'Connor MP, Anne Boxhall from Dogs' Homes of Tasmania, Greg Irons from Bonorong Wildlife Park, Craig Webb from the Raptor & Wildlife Refuge and Emma Haswell from Brightside Farm Sanctuary.

Throughout the event there will be activities for people of all ages. Come and meet the furry and feathered friends that will be joining us on the day. Draw an animal face on a balloon or make an animal face mask. There will be something for everyone.

Local artists will contributing some of their favourites works for you to admire and to get you inspired. Take a look at our animal art displays featuring work from a range of ages from kinder kids to adults.
